Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Requirements
I require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have at least one vegetable for each fruit, otherwise there is just too much sugar (though we will occasionally make a fruit-only smoothie as a dessert on a designated dessert day).
I also require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have some kind of protein component, be it whey protein powder, non-fat yogurt, Shakeology, and even cottage cheese (though I wouldn’t recommend that last one).
Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
- 3 ounces of grape tomatoes
- 2 ounces of baby carrots
- 1 medium frozen banana
- 6 ounces of frozen peaches
- 1/2 scoop of Tropical Strawberry Shakeology (or a good whey protein powder)
- 1/2 cup water
Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Directions
Combine water, Shakeology, tomatoes in Vitamix and blend till smooth. Add carrots and blend till smooth. Finally, add frozen banana and peaches and blend till it’s the consistency you desire. Makes two cups worth of smoothie.
