Chocolate Shakeology Recipe: Chocolate Sea Salt

Getting adequate dietary fiber has several health benefits, including weight loss and weight maintenance. Adults should strive for between 20 and 35 grams of fiber every day. Sounds like a lot but it’s easier than you think.

Eat whole-grain cereals and breads for breakfast (read your labels… some brands do WAY better than others and watch out for too much sugars). Eat your fruit but don’t peel skins that are edible. Mixed greens salads. Opt for brown rice instead of white and whole-grain pasta instead traditional. Add some beans into your soups and salads. Certain vegetables like carrots and broccoli are excellent sources as well.

As I reached my mid-40s, a lot of stress, very little exercise, and running too many people to the doctor resulted in lots of fast food. I was feeling tired and run down. Jenny Glenn contacted me about a challenge group and I joined. I took baby steps. Jenny was always there to encourage me and guide me and pick me up when I felt I had failed. I am doing much better.
