Every now and then, it will do your body good to surprise it by working out twice. But it doesn’t have to be super long each time. Divide your hour-long workout in half and do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 at night. Or go on a run in the morning and do some yoga at night. You’ll burn some extra calories, help keep your hunger in check, and give your muscles a little shock. Don’t make a habit it out of it long-term, but even doing these two-a-days for a few weeks at a time will keep your body guessing and keep the plateaus at bay.

If you want an extra helping of something, make it exercise, not food.
