Fitness Tip

  • If you are setting out to add size while getting toned, you are going to be disappointed. In order to add muscle mass, you have to have a calorie surplus. But in order to get ripped (i.e. shed fat), you need to have a calorie deficit. As you can see, you can’t have both a surplus and deficit simultaneously.

Your best bet is to focus on one thing at a time: bulk/build and then tone/cut. Rinse and repeat till you’ve reached your goal.

NOTE: Adding size and getting stronger are NOT synonymous. So if you want to get stronger while toning up, well, that you can do! And I can help!

Testimonials

  • … I realized not long after the group started that I needed the accountability. But what really helped was learning how God’s Word applied to my health and well-being. I managed to lose 27 pounds and gain a great deal of knowledge. Praise God for people like Matthew …

  • Vitamix Review: Our Favorite Appliance

Vitamix. Is it everything they say it is? I'm here to tell you, it's more. This multi-purpose, powerhouse of a machine will not only help get you healthier, you'll be looking for excuses to use it. It's without its flaws, but we wouldn't trade it for 100 pounds of organic kale.
