Fitness Tip

  • As organic foods go more and more mainstream, certain terms are starting to become more prevalent. One such term is the acronym ASH. It stands for:

    Antibiotics

    Steroids

    Hormones

    So when you see a product that says it’s “ASH-free”, it’s telling you that it was raised without the use of these chemicals. Not sure about you, but eating meat that could have antibiotics, steroids, and hormones looming in it doesn’t appeal to me a great deal. So personally we are going to be buying more ASH-free products. Yes, there will be some sticker shock at first, but the benefits of a rearranged budget seem to outweigh the cons of consuming potentially harmful meats.
