Welcome to the 1st ever March Madness Weight Loss Challenge.
What?
A weight loss challenge consisting of 64 teams, with 2 people per team.
Who?
Anyone one who likes competition, needs some additional motivation and accountability, and/or would like to lose some weight.
How?
The winning team will be determined by the total pounds lost by % of total body weight between the two people
FOR EXAMPLE: Player A weighs 140 pounds at beginning of challenge and loses 8 pounds. Her total % lost is 5.7% (8/140 = 5.7%). Player B weighs 210 pounds at beginning of challenge and loses 14 pounds. His total % lost is 6.7% (14/210 = 6/6%). The team’s total loss is 12.4%.
Where?
The contest will be held via a private Facebook group, with weekly weigh-ins submitted via email.
When?
Begins: Your starting weight on Tuesday, March 1st.
Ends: Your final weigh in on Thursday, March 31st.
Why?
Fitness is hard but games are fun. So why not get some encouragement and spur yourself on via some old-fashioned competition? Plus, with swimsuit season around the corner, you can jumpstart your summer goals NOW rather than a week before vacation.
How Much?
$25 per person (2 people teams means $50/team).
NOTE: Your entry won’t be considered complete until you mail your $25 check. You will receive a mailing address in your confirmation email. Checks will not be deposited until there are 64 teams.
GRAND PRIZE?
The winning team will share $500.
