PB2 Review

By Matthew Pryor | Category: Nutrition

PB2 Review - Home Fitness Nutrition

I like to review my favorite products from time to time. One such product is a powdered peanut butter called PB2. Powdered peanut butter sounds weird I know, but hopefully this PB2 review will help.

PB2 Review: What is it and how is it made?

Through a process that doesn’t involve the use of any chemicals and doesn’t alter the intended balance found within the peanut, they remove over 85% of the fat from premium quality peanuts. Essentially, the oil is squeezed out of roasted peanuts and what remains is essentially dried, powdered peanuts– all natural with no artificial sweeteners or preservatives (unlike Jif, Skippy, or Peter Pan, who add mono and diglycerides and hydrogenated vegetable oils). It’s like Peanut Butter 2.0.

PB2 Review: How do you use PB2?

When you mix PB2 with water or a favorite drink, you get the same consistency as full-fat peanut butter, with all the roasted peanut flavor, but 85% less fat calories. My favorite way to use PB2 is to mix it with my Shakeology. It’s easy to measure, doesn’t stick to the spoon, and adds the flavor I’m looking for without the fat.

I will also mix it with water to make “regular” peanut butter and throw a little bit of it on a banana with a sprinkle of granola. I’ll eat this 30-60 minutes before a particularly long workout to get the right kind of calories and keep me sustained and feeling full. And the fact that it tastes awesome doesn’t hurt.

You could also easily substitute PB2 in dessert recipes that call for regular, full-fat peanut butter, and the only one to notice the difference would be your waistline. The flavor is there… the fat is not.

PB2 Review: What are the Nutrition Facts for PB2?

The serving size is two tablespoons of the PB2 powder, which equates to 45 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 5 grams carbs, 5 grams protein, and 2 grams of fiber. Trust me, that’s a lot of bang for your buck.

PB2 Review: Where do you get PB2?

PB2 is available in some stores, but not many. It’s easiest and cheapest to order PB2 on Amazon.

PB2 review conclusion:

It’s not often you find a product that is this healthy, versatile, and tasty. Like Shakeology, it has the potential to be a product that you’ll want to purchase for life. In my opinion, it’s time for everyone to upgrade.

LEARN MORE ON AMAZON and say goodbye to the traditional peanut butters of yesteryear.

Fitness Tip

  • Look at the picture. See how little 400 calories worth of oil and meat fill up your stomach. Produce on the other hand goes a long way. You get so much more bang for your buck! Meat and oils aren’t the problem, it’s just that our ratios are off.

So if getting full on a reasonable number of calories is an issue for you, eat more produce and less meat/oil and you’ll get full much faster without breaking the calorie bank!
