Vitamix Smoothie Recipe: Pineapple, Grape, Carrot & Spinach

By Matthew Pryor | Category: Recipes

Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Requirements

I require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have at least one vegetable for each fruit, otherwise there is just too much sugar (though we will occasionally make a fruit-only smoothie as a dessert on a designated dessert day).

I also require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have some kind of protein component, be it whey protein powder, non-fat yogurt, Shakeology, and even cottage cheese (though I wouldn’t recommend that last one).

Vitamix Smoothie Recipe - Grape, Pineapple, Spinach, and CarrotVitamix Smoothie Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/2 scoop of a good vanilla whey protein powder (or Tropical Strawberry Shakeology)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 ounces carrots
  • 3 ounces spinach
  • 3 ounces purple grapes
  • 3 ounces pineapple
  • 3 ounces ice

Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Directions

Put water, carrots, grapes and pineapple in your Vitamix and blend on low till smooth. Add spinach and blend again. Finally, add protein powder and ice and blend on a higher setting until smooth. Makes three cups worth of smoothie. Crazy straws optional.

Vitamix Review

I want you to forget everything you thought you knew about blenders because you’ve been misled, duped, snowed, tricked into thinking you owned one. What you own would like to be a blender. It may even have the word “blender” on it. It probably has the similar shape, spinning blades, and the noise of a blender… but it’s not… not really. It’s like the difference between someone who plays golf and someone who is a golfer. Your gadget might blend, but it’s not a blender.

Enter the true protagonist, the Vitamix. Here’s what it’s not: Pretty, small, or quiet. Let’s call a spade a spade. This thing was not designed by Apple. It takes two hands to lug around. And it could wake your neighbors. But it’s all worth it. Why? Continue reading Vitamix Review…

Fitness Tip

  • Ever wanted to eat _________ when you’re feeling a little lonely, a little sorry for yourself? Or maybe skip a workout cause you’ve got no one to workout with and you don’t want to do it by yourself? Loneliness makes us take an overly “inward” perspective which can easily be addressed in unproductive ways. Take stock first and ask why you want to eat __________ or why you want to skip your P90X2 workout and make sure it’s not because you’re feeling lonely. You’ll feel more isolated if you give in.

So don’t make fitness decisions when you’re Tired, Angry, or Lonely.

Testimonials

  • I’m new to these weight loss challenges. I am good at starting diets but always lose my motivation. Jenny was great. Always checking in, giving support and posting inspiration. When I struggled she was understanding and encouraged me not to give up even though I did not lose as much weight as I wanted.  She is such a great role model – someone who is not only a coach but in the trenches herself fighting to get healthier. I would like to do another challenge with her in the future.

Vitamix. Is it everything they say it is? I'm here to tell you, it's more. This multi-purpose, powerhouse of a machine will not only help get you healthier, you'll be looking for excuses to use it. It's without its flaws, but we wouldn't trade it for 100 pounds of organic kale.
