  • During exercise, dehydration starts affecting performance when you lose 2% or more of your body weight. So a good goal to shoot for is to drink 5-10 ounces every 15 to 20 minutes of physical activity. Of course, this can fluctuate depending on your size and the intensity of the exercise. But the goal is to intake enough to prevent dehydration, not to drink in excess of one’s sweating rate… so don’t overdue it either.
