  • As you resolve to get fit, people will discourage you, either intentionally or unknowingly. “Don’t get too skinny.” “Why are you eating vegan for 3 weeks?” “Weight lifting will make you bulky.” “Why would you want to run that far… it’s not good for you.” And so on.

    Ignore these people, as they most likely have insecurities of their own. These are the same people who are always trying new fitness fads and then giving up 10 days in. So they resort to dream-squashing.

    Besides, you’re not eating healthy, getting stronger, shedding fat, adding muscle, running faster, running farther, sweating more than ever… you’re not doing this for them. You’re doing this for you, for your family, and maybe for your faith.

    So tune out the haters. They are not welcome here!
