Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Requirements
I require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have at least one vegetable for each fruit, otherwise there is just too much sugar (though we will occasionally make a fruit-only smoothie as a dessert on a designated dessert day).
I also require every Vitamix smoothie recipe to have some kind of protein component, be it whey protein powder, non-fat yogurt, Shakeology, and even cottage cheese (though I wouldn’t recommend that last one).
Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Ingredients
- 1/2 scoop of a good vanilla whey protein powder (or Tropical Strawberry Shakeology)
- 4 ounces water
- 2 ounces frozen broccoli puree
- 2 ounces fresh spinach
- 4 ounces fresh blueberries
- 4 ounces fresh raspberries
- 1 cup ice
Vitamix Smoothie Recipe Directions
Put water, blueberries, raspberries and spinach into Vitamix and blend on low till smooth. Add protein powder and blend again. Finally, add frozen broccoli puree and ice and blend on a higher setting until smooth. Makes three cups worth of smoothie.

Vitamix Review
I want you to forget everything you thought you knew about blenders because you’ve been misled, duped, snowed, tricked into thinking you owned one. What you own would like to be a blender. It’s like the difference between someone who plays golf and someone who is a golfer. Your gadget might blend, but it’s not a blender.
Enter the true protagonist, the Vitamix. Here’s what it’s not: Pretty, small, or quiet. Let’s call a spade a spade. This thing was not designed by Apple. It takes two hands to lug around. And it could wake your neighbors. But it’s all worth it. Why? Continue reading Vitamix Review…
