RevAbs Challenge Group – Week 11:

Eating out can be unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean the meal has to be a complete disaster. Remember, restaurants work for you and should be happy to help you tailor your meal any way you’d like.

Most anything that is fried can be ordered grilled instead (ex: grilled chicken tenders rather than fried). Ingredients can be left off salads (ex: cheese, croutons, tortilla strips, etc). Substitutions can be made (steamed or grilled veggies instead of mashed potatoes or fries). And preparation can be altered as well (hold the butter, sour cream, dressing on the side, etc). Tell them you have a special dietary requirement (which you do) and don’t feel bad about it.

Any restaurant that is not helpful with your meal is not worth your patronage.
