About Keri Dabney

Hi! My name is Keri Dabney and I live in Louisville, KY. I am a registered dietitian and I graduated in dietetics from the University of Kentucky in 1998. After graduation I worked in the clinical setting for seven years before I decided to be a full time stay at home mom.

The joy of my life and my service to the Lord is to be a Godly wife and mother to our four children.

I have always enjoyed the wellness side of dietetics. My goal is to help you navigate through all the available nutritional information so you can make better, wiser decisions about your diet for you and your family.

Fitness Tip

  • I often tell people that exercise, nutrition, and sleep are the three legs of the fitness stool as they will determine the overall state of your health. But if you struggle with actually sleeping in spite of going to bed at a reasonable hour, check your diet.

Spicy foods can cause heartburn or indigestion which can keep you awake. While alcohol may relax you, it will keep you from sleeping well (plus may require extra trips to the potty). Sugar can amp you up and/or cause you to wake up craving more sugar. And most chocolate contains caffeine, which is the last thing you want when you’re trying to get some rest.

    Eat right and sleep tight!

Testimonials

  • I was in a rough spot with my nutrition and my training was suffering. I reached out to Matthew for some advice hoping he would guide in the right direction. He told me about an accountability group he would facilitate. I accepted the invitation and never looked back. The nutrition plan was very good (tasteful) and being accountable to fitness was great… The people I took this journey with were fantastic and so encouraging. It was exactly what I needed at the time. Thank you Matthew for the experience and believing in me…

Vitamix. Is it everything they say it is? I'm here to tell you, it's more. This multi-purpose, powerhouse of a machine will not only help get you healthier, you'll be looking for excuses to use it. It's without its flaws, but we wouldn't trade it for 100 pounds of organic kale.
